Solving Inequalities




The process of solving a linear inequality is the same as solving a linear equation, except when you multiply or divide an inequality by a negative value, you must change the direction of the inequality.





Question 1: 2n + 6 < 14












Question 2: 5 + 2x > 13 + x












Question 3: 2y + 21 > 15 + 3y












Question 4: 3(x + 4) < 9x












Question 5: 4(m + 1) - 43 > m

















Question 6: 1 - 3m < -4m - 11











Question 7: 3(p - 5) > -p - 7












Question 8: 7x > -2x + 10x












Question 9: 2(1 - 2y) > y - 13
